For Decades Two Organizations Shared the Same Passion—Yosemite National Park.
In 2010 Yosemite Association and The Yosemite Fund merged to form Yosemite Conservancy.
Yosemite Conservancy was introduced to the public in June. This exciting day was marked by an event in Yosemite Valley attended by staff, supporters, local school children; state and local government officials.
Yosemite Conservancy’s Mission
Providing for Yosemite’s future is our passion. We inspire people to support projects and programs that preserve and protect Yosemite National Park’s resources and enrich the visitor experience.
Vision
Yosemite Conservancy will ensure Yosemite remains an irreplaceable resource and wondrous icon by funding projects and programs that provide a margin of excellence and inspire enduring connections for current and future generations.
How do we achieve this?
- Yosemite Conservancy is now the only philanthropic organization dedicated exclusively to the protection and preservation of Yosemite National Park and enhancement of the visitor experience.
- We are committed to creating unique opportunities for people to connect with the park, through restoring hiking trails and iconic lookouts, providing outdoor education and volunteer programs.
- We will continue to expand programs that preserve the park and its wildlife through scientific research and habitat restoration.
- We are an integral part of the park’s daily operations, providing services like bear-proof food lockers and wilderness permits.
- We will continue to set benchmarks in innovation and quality with every project that we complete. Large or small, every project will set a new standard of excellence.
- With more than 100 years of combined experience, we will continue making a difference for Yosemite’s future.
