Day Hikes

With over 800 miles of trails in Yosemite there are many day hikes to explore, whether you are heading out on your own or joining an organized program. The best place to start in the park is at the visitor centers, the Wilderness Center, or volunteer information booths. While the crowds are busy gawking at the much larger Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, you can enjoy the serenity of big trees among a smaller group of fellow travelers in the Tuolumne Grove.
