Film Screenings

To commemorate the 150th anniversary, a landmark documentary, Yosemite: A Gathering of Spirit has been produced. Yosemite Conservancy partnered with renowned filmmakers Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan to produce this inspirational film honoring the landmark federal legislation, signed by President Abraham Lincoln that preserved Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias.

This act, the first time our government set aside land for public use and enjoyment, gave birth to the national park movement.

Join us in celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Yosemite Grant by attending a screening.

Yosemite: A Gathering of Spirit can be viewed daily in the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center Theater beginning in March 2014.

Can’t find an event near you? Host one! Contact info@yosemiteconservancy.org to inquire about hosting your own community screening of Yosemite: A Gathering of Spirit.
