Gifts in Memory

“We met on a Sierra Club hike in 1970. He was a dashing Frenchman and I was his English rose! For four decades, we shared an amazing partnership, stacking up memories in all seasons on High Sierra trails.

Early one summer solstice morning, with Yosemite Falls cascading behind us, we pledged to share our lives together. Pierre, an accomplished designer, artist and gifted abstract nature photographer understood our wilderness experiences infused my science teaching with passionate energy.

Before he passed away, the shared memories, inspired by our photographic journals, convinced us that a fitting legacy of donations in his memory and a bequest to the Conservancy in my estate would enhance the Yosemite experience for future generations."
