Habitat Restoration

Funding Needed: $2,079,537

Visitors to Yosemite may notice areas that seem to be ‘under construction’. In many cases these areas are in the process of ‘deconstruction’.   Our work includes restoring previously degraded natural areas and preventing future damage through natural regeneration of the landscape—letting nature do her work.

Back to Nature

These projects range from simple asphalt removal to more complex works that restore natural water flow to meadows or river ecosystems.

Success Stories

In recent years, Yosemite Conservancy has provided over $70 million in grants to Yosemite for trail repair, wildlife protection, habitat restoration, and more.

We make it possible for our supporters to preserve and protect Yosemite National Park today and for future generations.
