Junior Ranger Program Expanded

Junior Ranger Program Expanded

Building on the success of the Junior Ranger Programs.

The Junior Ranger Program offers thousands of children the opportunity to engage directly with interpretive rangers to learn about Yosemite National Park. By completing ranger led activities, ranging from nature walks to finishing work books, kids earn their Junior Ranger status, and leave the park proudly sporting their Junior Ranger Badge.

Based on the success of previous funding Yosemite Conservancy will again continue to support this program. The results are impressive and reflect how so many more children were able to participate in this program. For example, in 2009 over 27,000 children participated in the program compared to 6,000 in 2007.

More programs, more rangers, more children learning about and connecting with Yosemite.
