Parsons Memorial Lodge Summer Series

Parsons Memorial Lodge hosts a popular arts-and-sciences forum in Yosemite’s Tuolumne Meadows.

One of the most highly anticipated events of the summer season, the Parsons Memorial Lodge Summer Series is a forum for the arts and sciences. Diverse presenters include photographers, writers, musicians, storytellers and poets, as well as research scientists, naturalists, historians, philosophers, climbers and planners. At the edge of Tuolumne Meadows, this rustic stone lodge is a vibrant gathering place that has been hosting this popular program since 1992.

In 2014, the series will incorporate special programs honoring the 150th anniversary of the Yosemite Grant and the 50th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, through the inclusion of world-renowned authors and artists.

With your support, this popular program gives all visitors the opportunity to connect to the park and learn something new in a unique setting.

Project Notes

The lodge, once again, fulfills its original purpose as a vibrant gathering place where ideas were exchanged — ideas that could be inspiring and life-changing, ideas about how to be in this world, how to live on this Earth, ideas that matched the mountains and powerful thinking that had come before. It is now intrinsic to summer in Tuolumne Meadows.
