Natural Dying on Silk

September 15, 2014 to September 20, 2014

This new workshop is designed for both artist and artisan. Our experienced silk artist, Glennis Dolce, will introduce the technique of shibori dying and the use of natural dyestuffs. You will create your own silk scarf using acorn-based dye and shibori, a Japanese term for the fabric manipulation used to create pattern. You will appreciate the diversity of pattern and effects, reveling in the color and texture.

At the end of the day wrap yourself in a silk scarf, uniquely yours, as a beautiful reminder of this innovative Yosemite workshop.
