Pen and Ink with Watercolor

Artist Pam Pederson teaches students how to create artwork or illustrate a journal using pen and ink with watercolor in this autumn Yosemite Conservancy art workshop.

Yes, you can learn to draw! Seasoned artist Pam Pederson gives you the confidence to move from line and shape to a finished painting. Try your hand at creating artwork or illustrating a journal. Wander the incredible Valley, pen in hand, and capture what catches your eye and inspires you. Amaze yourself — you can create wonderful art and have fun combining ink and watercolor to make a beautiful finished product.

Create artwork with no pressure or worries, and let Yosemite in autumn inspire you.

Registration: $10 per day per visitor; drop-ins also welcome, as space is available
Location: Yosemite Art Center; workshops are held outside, weather and medium permitting
Time: 9:45 am to 2 pm, Monday through Saturday. Please arrive at 9:30 am if you need to purchase supplies at the art center.
Materials: Supplies are not included. However, supplies are available for purchase at the Yosemite Art Center. All purchases benefit the park!

Pam Pederson

Pam Pederson is a native of Fresno, California where Yosemite National Park is her “backyard”. She shares her art through various local newspapers and has taught extensively in Yosemite and in local schools. Pam recently published a book of watercolor illustrations featuring Yosemite’s historic bridges.
