Yosemite Nature Notes cinematographer, Steve Bumgardner, details how he crafts his films in nature’s workshop and shares many of his creations, shot in some of the most beautiful locations on earth. The films present fascinating subjects ranging from high-altitude plant species to stunning natural phenomena, such as Yosemite moonbows and frazil ice. Each dramatic film is revealed in striking high definition. From the edge of Half Dome to the top of Yosemite Falls, come watch these unique stories come to life at the Yosemite Theater.

Steve Bumgardner

Steve Bumgardner is a filmmaker and explorer who has taken his camera from the bottom of the Grand Canyon to the top of Mount Whitney, looking for untold stories about the natural world and the people who work and play there. His work can be seen in Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Sequoia, Pinnacles and Yosemite National Parks, and has been used by National Geographic, Discovery Channel, the BBC, among others. Steve’s live show, Filmmaking on the Edge, present behind-the-scenes stories from Yosemite Nature Notes, a popular web series that has been seen by over 7 million people.
