Yosemite Conservancy offers fun things to do in Yosemite, all year. Explore the park with our experts on guided hikes, backpacking trips, photography workshops or bird-watching tours. Join us in Yosemite Valley for art workshops and lively theater programs. Whatever your passion, find your adventure with us!

Yosemite Wine and Paint

In this wine and paint class, you’ll learn how to use watercolor to paint an iconic Yosemite landscape, step by step. and With guidance from a Yosemite Conservancy art instructor, you will learn basic techniques and simple color mixing to create your very own Yosemite masterpiece.

In this class, artist Maggie Warner will help you look beyond what you can capture with your camera, and teach you to create a more personal snapshot using simple analog tools: pencil, pend and ink. You’ll learn to bring your surroundings to life on paper through black-and-white drawings, and to add judicious strokes and splashes of color.

Backpack to Half Dome: Two-Night Summit Challenge – Trip 2

Whether you are looking to tackle Half Dome for the first time, or you want the thrill of standing on the summit with new friends, this is an unforgettable experience that is sure to top your list of things to do in Yosemite! Enjoy a two-night backpacking adventure with an experienced naturalist, who will share insider stories and tips for the trail.

Overnight Under the Milky Way – Trip 3

Yosemite’s night skies are a wilderness treasure and rare resource few people ever have the chance to experience. On this easy guided trip, a great option for first-time backpackers, you’ll hike a mile or two from Ostrander Trailhead on Glacier Point Road before settling in at your campsite for the night: a specially selected spot with open skies, at an elevation low enough to sleep outside under the stars.

Field Sketching With Watercolor

Express what you love about Yosemite through art! In this day of sketching and painting in the park, you’ll enjoy stunning views of Yosemite Valley while learning basic techniques that will help you on your artistic path.

Women’s Advanced Backpack: Rafferty Creek and Amelia Earhart Peak

Spend a weekend in Yosemite’s high country tackling a challenging, rewarding backpacking trip with a group of fellow adventurous women and an experienced naturalist guide. You’ll depart from Tuolumne Meadows on Friday morning for a full day of hiking through beautiful Lyell Canyon and along Rafferty Creek. Spend the night at Ireland Lake, then choose your Saturday activity: Relax at camp, or head up to the summit of Amelia Earhart Peak — one of only two Yosemite mountains named for a woman. On Sunday, drink in the views of features such as Vogelsang Peak and Evelyn Lake, as you hike back out to Tioga Road.
