All art is a journey — let your steps bring you to Yosemite, where a changing panorama of landscapes will engage your senses. Join us for this workshop, where you will use transparent and opaque watercolor to create beautiful atmospheric landscapes. Master artist Frank Eber will guide you in the creation of a landscape that reflects the nuances of light, time and season. Painting on-site, you will be inspired by the myriad beauties of Yosemite Valley, as you learn technique from a master of this medium. This workshop offers an incredible opportunity to learn from a very gifted artist and continue on your own art journey.

  • Three full days of progressive learning and painting plein air with Frank Eber, plus an introductory evening meeting (5pm on Thursday, April 19)

  • Four nights of camping (as needed, arriving Apr 19 and departing April 23) at Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite Valley

Experience Level: Advanced. This workshop is for watercolor painters with experience only. This workshop is not suitable for beginner artists.

Frank Eber

Frank is an award-winning watercolor artist and signature member of the American Watercolor Society (AWS), the National Watercolor Society (NWS) and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America (TWSA). He is also a juried Artist member of the prestigious California Art Club and has more than 20 years of experience painting with a variety of media. He is currently focusing on watercolor and is known for his loose and magical plein air technique, which imparts a dreamy quality to his paintings.
