Nature Journaling in Yosemite – Drawing & Watercolor

Janet Takahashi leads artists with experience on a multi-day watercolor journaling adventure through Yosemite Valley.
May 10, 2018 to May 13, 2018

This workshop is so joyous that it borders on play. Artist Janet Takahashi will share her love of letters, art and journaling, and you will use your imagination, watercolor and calligraphy skills (new or highly developed) to translate the mountain peaks and valleys you see into personal artwork. Create work using your hand, mind and soul. In a relaxed atmosphere, you will paint as you go, producing several small sketches rather than one involved painting. Your sketchbook journal will become a beautiful, artful record of your journey in Yosemite and beyond.

Included with your registration:

  • Three full days of progressive learning and painting plein air with Janet Takahashi, plus an introductory evening meeting (5pm on Thursday, May 10)
  • Park entry (as needed)
  • Four nights of camping (as needed, arriving May 10 and departing May 14) at Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite Valley
  • Note: There is no discount if you choose not to use our gate pass or campsites. Information about upgrading your accommodations to stay at Yosemite Valley Lodge will be emailed to you after you sign up.
