Fun and easy workshop, make an ornament, indoors
April 2, 2018 to April 7, 2018

Join us and create a Yosemite mosaic – a timeless and memorable keepsake from your park experience. Mosaics are a unique expression of color, shape, pattern and texture—all elements found in the majestic Yosemite Valley. Using supplied materials, join artist and educator Nancy Meyer to capture the essence of the valley using pieces of stone, glass and other materials. This workshop is great for all ages; no experience necessary. Leave this workshop with a unique and lasting memento of your visit. Class supplies are provided for a materials fee. This class will be held twice per day in a morning and an afternoon session. The morning session will be from 10am to 12pm, the afternoon session will be from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.

Beginner level: Little to no experience required, all ages
Registration: $15 per class per visitor; drop-ins welcome as space is available; maximum of 15 people per class
Location: Yosemite Art Center; workshops are held outside, weather and medium permitting
Time: 10:00am to 12:00pm and 1:30 to 3:30pm, Monday through Saturday. *Due to the nature of this workshop, classes will be 2 hours in duration twice per day.
Materials: $20 per student per class. Additional materials are available for purchase. All purchases benefit the park!

Nancy Meyer

Nancy Meyer is a professional mosaic artist and art educator, with extensive experience teaching visual arts to children and adults in public and private school settings. Born in Ohio, Meyer holds a degree in Fine Arts and Art Education from The Ohio State University. For more than fifteen years, Meyer has focused her talents on creating mosaic art at her home studio, “The Mosaic Gardens,” in Campbell, CA.
