In this wine and paint class, you’ll learn how to use watercolor to paint an iconic Yosemite landscape, step by step.  and With guidance from a Yosemite Conservancy art instructor, you will learn basic techniques and simple color mixing to create your very own Yosemite masterpiece.

This afternoon class is perfect for aspiring and experienced artists alike – and pairs perfectly with wine and cheese! By the end of the class, you’ll have your own piece of Yosemite art, plus the skills and inspiration to try watercolor painting at home or wherever your travels take you next.

Beginner level: Little to no experience required, ages 21+
Registration: $46.50 per person; advanced registration recommended; Reservations can be made online or at any Yosemite Hospitality Tour Desk
2 glasses of wine, a cheese and fruit plate, all the materials, supplies and instruction are included in the registration fee
Location: Mountain Room Lounge at Yosemite Valley Lodge; Shuttle stop 8
Time: 2 pm to 4 pm, every Friday through October 25, 2019

Lora Spielman is an art educator who expresses her enthusiasm for conservation of public lands through watercolor painting and nature journaling. With the intersecting forces of art and nature constantly capturing her curiosity, she is always trying to find ways to encourage others to create. Aside from drawing and painting, she keeps her hands busy with crochet, calligraphy, block printing and embroidery.
