Casual Backpack: Yosemite Creek and Eagle Peak

Enjoy a weekend of hiking and camping in the beautiful Yosemite Wilderness on this guided adventure.
July 19, 2018 to July 22, 2018

Spend a long summer weekend hiking and camping in the beautiful Yosemite Wilderness! On this three-day, two-night guided backpacking trip from Tioga Road, you’ll follow Yosemite Creek as it flows toward Yosemite Valley, then set up camp near the top of one of the tallest waterfalls in the world: Yosemite Falls. Take a day hike to Eagle Peak, the highest point of the Three Brothers formation near El Capitan, and enjoy breathtaking views from more than 3,700 feet above the Valley.

As you explore the creek, peak and surrounding terrain, you’ll learn about the natural history of the drainage that fuels one of the park’s most famous waterfalls and about the geology of Yosemite’s renowned rock features. After a second night under the stars, head back to Tioga Road, refreshed, relaxed and ready to share photos and stories from your trip with your family and friends.
