Glen Aulin Backpack Trek

July 10, 2014 to July 13, 2014

Guidebook author Suzanne Swedo loves bringing people up to the edge of Tuolumne Grand Canyon. This trek kicks off with an evening meeting at 7:30 pm on Thursday, July 10, in Tuolumne Meadows Campground to discuss the next three days on the trail, safety and Leave No Trace ethics. The first day on the trail begins Friday morning, with a pleasant descent out of Tuolumne Meadow, following the river to glide into the glen to basecamp. On day two, you can relax near camp or visit Waterwheel Fall. The basecamp area is a grand Sierra location with granite, flowers and the crystalline Tuolumne River. The last day will be ascending out of the glen back to Tuolumne Meadows.

Experience package includes camping July 10 & 13 at Tuolumne Meadows Campground plus entry into Yosemite. Upgrade to stay at Tuolumne Lodge July 13. Information about upgrading your package will be available once you have registered. Both packages include your wilderness permit and a bear canister. View a suggested packing list for this program.
