Find Your Way: New Signage in Yosemite Valley - 2015

Find Your Way: New Signage in Yosemite Valley - 2015

Visitors appreciate the new signage in Yosemite Valley.

Upon arriving to Yosemite, many visitors park in day-use parking areas and need a quick and straightforward way to orient themselves in the Valley. This project expands the current system of way-finding signs to cover arrival and gathering areas, walkways and destinations, so visitors can easily find their way to view Yosemite’s amazing natural wonders.

With your support in 2015, work began on design plans for new way-finding signs in the day-use parking areas near Yosemite Village and Yosemite Lodge. The new signs are designed to be integrated with the system of rustic directional signs already in place in order to provide a more welcoming and attractive sense of arrival to Yosemite Valley.

Your gifts helped improve way-finding around the park, so visitors can enjoy each moment spent in Yosemite.

Completed in partnership with Yosemite National Park.

Project Notes
Visitors appreciate the new signage in Yosemite Valley.

The proposed system of wayside signs will benefit a projected 2.1 million visitors annually who park in Yosemite Village and Yosemite Lodge. The new design would include pathways to guide visitors to visitor services and eliminate pedestrian-vehicle conflicts. It is an integral part of the effort to create a pleasant, less confusing experience, especially for first-time visitors.
