Clay Creations: Back to School Special

Clay Creations: Back to School Special

Kid will enjoy creating Yosemite mementos in clay during this special back-to-school art class!
Monday - Saturday, 10 am - 11:30 am
September 25, 2017 to September 30, 2017

Join us in nature’s most beautiful classroom for a special sculpture experience designed just for kids! During this 90-minute class with artist and sculptor Carol Foldvary-Anderson, kids will learn basic techniques for using non-toxic, air-dry clay to capture different shapes and details. All participants will create their own sculptures of a rare Yosemite bird: the great gray owl. As kids personalize their pieces, they’ll learn about the owl’s habitat, behavior, camouflage and more. When the class wraps up, they’ll have a personal sculpture and plenty of owl facts to take home. Open to all ages. Some adult participant may be required for children under age 10.
