Traditional Landscape in Yosemite: Acrylic

With the beautiful backdrop of Yosemite as our inspiration, learn new art skills with Mark Monsarrat. Explore the jous of drawing and painting with acrylics amidst the granite faces of Yosemite Valley. Students will get individual guidance with solid basics of picture-making, including finding a great composition, creating beautiful value and color, and adding the finishing touches that make for a special keepsake.

This Yosemite art workshop is wonderful fun for all ages.

Registration: $10 per day per visitor; drop-ins also welcome, as space is available
Location: Yosemite Art Center; workshops are held outside, weather and medium permitting
Time: 9:45 am to 2 pm, Monday through Saturday. Please arrive at 9:30 am if you need to purchase supplies at the art center.
Materials: Supplies are not included. However, supplies are available for purchase at the Yosemite Art Center. All purchases benefit the park!

Mark Monsarrat

Mark Monsarrat, winner of numerous awards in plein-air (outdoor) painting, works in the traditional Craftsman landscape style. With an engineering background, BFA from the California College of the Arts, and MFA from the Academy of Art, San Francisco, Mark paints, shows and teaches all over the San Francisco Bay Area.
