Watercolor Sketchbook Journaling

Artist Janet Takahashi helps students develop their watercolor and calligraphy skills to translate Yosemite into personal artwork in this Yosemite Conservancy art workshop.
October 2, 2017 to October 7, 2017

This workshop is so joyous that it borders on play. Artist Janet Takahashi will share her love of letters, art and journaling, and you will use your imagination, watercolor and calligraphy skills (new or highly developed) to translate the mountain peaks and valleys you see into personal artwork. Create work using your hand, mind and soul. In a relaxed atmosphere, you will paint as you go, producing several small sketches rather than one involved painting. Your sketchbook journal will become a beautiful, artful record of your journey in Yosemite and beyond.

Beginner level: Little to no experience required, recommended ages 16+
Registration: $15 per day per visitor; drop-ins welcome as space is available
Location: Yosemite Art Center; workshops are held outside, weather and medium permitting
